The conference will take place at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center and we have reserved a block of rooms at discounted rates if you reserve by August 29, the rates are:
$105 per night for a Standard Double or a Standard Queen/King
$120 per night for a Deluxe King
To get this rate, make sure to mention that you are with the "Cultural Rhetorics" group.
If you reserve on September 1 or later, the rates will vary from $139 - $173.
In terms of size, the standard double hotel rooms at the Kellogg Center can only fit two people per room. Please visit the Kellogg Hotel’s visual gallery before making rooming decisions.

Transportation to and from Hotel

Hotel guests are offered free parking. For those not staying at the hotel, parking is $1 an hour with a maximum of $8 per day.
Conference attendees have access to free WiFi. Hotel guests have free WiFi in their rooms as well.

DiningWhile the conference will provide continental breakfasts and morning and afternoon snacks, the Kellogg center also has The State Room Restaurant. In addition, the conference is located across from Michigan State University’s Brody Hall, which has a large cafeteria. Finally, the conference is located about a ten minute walk to a variety of restaurants in downtown East Lansing. Please visit The City of Lansing Website for a list and addresses.
At the Conference
The Kellogg Hotel has six accessible guest rooms; just request an accessible guest room when making your reservation if you need one. The conference meeting spaces are all on one level and are wheelchair accessible. A dedicated quiet room will be available. Lighting in breakout/meeting rooms is fluorescent. The Kellogg Conference Center has designated gender neutral bathrooms for the duration of the conference.
Throughout the duration of the conference nursing mothers are invited to go to the front desk to request a private room for lactation.
We have designated room 102 at the Kellogg Conference Center for parents and their children. We will have arts and crafts materials available.
